It has been 11 years since İsmet Kotak, a former minister who also served as the Director of Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) passed away.
The late Kotak was commemorated with a ceremony at his graveside this morning.
İsmet Kotak, one of the former BRT directors and former ministers, who carried out important duties in the struggle for existence of the Turkish Cypriot people, was commemorated on the 11th anniversary of his passing.
He was commemorated with a ceremony at his grave side this morning.
Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre also attended the commemorative ceremony.
Speaking here Töre said that he had found the opportunity to work with the late Kotak and added that Kotak was an entrepreneur, innovative researcher and a leader for those around him.
“Kotak played an important role in the resettlement of our people from South Cyprus. İsmet Kotak set an example for all of us. He loved the people. God bless his soul. I hope that more people will be raised just like İsmet Kotak.”
Within the framework of events organised to mark his passing a virtual exhibition of Kotak’s life has also been prepared.
