The “Cyprus Days” event, in which the Cittaslow culture was introduced with Cypriot foods, was held in Izmir, Turkiye.

Organized with the participation of around 50 producers from 5 municipalities this year, an agreement was reached that the “Cyprus Days” will be held every year from now on.

Participating in the Cyprus Days event which was hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the mayors of 5 Cittaslow cities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the producers in the regions returned to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus satisfied with the experiences they have gained and the new goals they have set.

Local Cypriot dishes, desserts, candied sweets, drinks and handicrafts were all made available at the Cyprus Day’s event that was realised in Izmir last Friday.

While locals visited the stands to discover the delicacies of Cyprus and its handicrafts, Turkish Cypriots studying in the region also visited the stands and enjoyed the cuisines.
