Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu touched upon the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean at a press conference.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu referred to the developments taking place in the Eastern Mediterranean at a press conference by stating that there are many unresolved problems in the region.

Çavuşoğlu stated that he wanted to repeat Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s previous invitation to the European Union, especially regarding the Eastern Mediterranean.

“Let’s organize a conference and talk about fair sharing in the Eastern Mediterranean. We have not yet received a positive response from the EU. The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell had made several promises. I just hope that the EU will respond positively to our calls and be more objective and more balanced on these issues,” said Çavuşoğlu.
