Efforts to form a new government are continuing

The leader of the National Unity Party, Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu on Wednesday said that informal meetings with political parties as part of efforts to form a new government were continuing.

Speaking to the Turkish New Agency TAK, Sucuoğlu noted that the second round of official talks will be held once the government model is further developed.

Explaining that they had met separately with the delegations from the People’s Party (HP) and the Democrat (DP) Party, the UBP leader noted that they had not felt the need to meet with officials from the Rebirth Party (YDP) because there were no problems with the three-party coalition formation.

Referring to the draft government program they had presented to the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), Sucuoğlu said that they too will be giving a written response to the written text given by the CTP.

Noting that they had currently not requested appointments for a second round of talks, Sucuoğlu said that such visits would mean the conclusion of the government formation and therefore they will allow the government model to develop before they embark on their final round of talks.
