The Undersecretary of the Minister for Public Works and Transportation Enver Öztürk and his accompanying delegation held a variety of contacts in Ankara to discuss planned and ongoing infrastructural projects.
Issuing a statement through the Ministry’s press bureau, Öztürk said he had held productive meetings with the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkiye Ömer Fatih Sayan and Deputy Minister Selim Dursun.
He said that as a result of their work, they received the promise that every effort and support would be given to accelerate projects that are foreseen to be carried out within the framework of the Highways Master Plan.
Stating that Turkiye will also provide support for necessary repairs on the current highway network, as well as the technical equipment and software needed at ports, Öztürk noted that they had also received promises that the necessary investment in the telecommunications field will be carried out.
Öztürk also said that he met with the President of the Turkish Aeronautical Association Abdullah Kaya during which ways of further developing cooperation in the field of aviation and air sports was discussed.
He said that an agreement had been reached for cooperation and support to take place on infrastructure, installation and operation of vehicle inspection stations in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus during a separate meeting with the head of the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin.
