The leader of the main opposition Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Tufan Erhürman said on Tuesday that parliament was working to address the country’s problems.
He said that as the main opposition, they will continue to try and prevent laws which they believe will be against the public’s interest.
Evaluating the work of the parliament ahead of the summer recess, main opposition Republican Turkish Party (CTP) leader Tufan Erhürman said that his party was proposing that minimum wage earners should be exempt from income tax.
He also said that his party will be tabling a motion for the launch of an inquiry into the cause of the Mersinlik wildfire which destroyed over 16,000 dunams of forest land.
Explaining that the various committees will continue to work during the summer recess to complete the groundwork of draft laws to be passed by parliament, Erhürman said that they will do their best for a draft law also on olive production.
