Esin-Leman High School inaugurated

Esin-Leman High School, which was gifted to the education sector by business people Esin Sanver Arık and Sadık Arık, was inaugurated with a ceremony on Monday.

President Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu all attended the inauguration of the school and highlighted the importance of investments made in the education sector.

The newly built Esin – Leman High School, built by business people Esin Sanver Arık and Sadık Arık, was inaugrated with a ceremony and handed over to the General Secondary Education Department.

Speaking on behalf of the family at the ceremony, Esin Sanver Arık said that they set out with the awareness that the future of this country will depend on raising bright generations.

Explaining that the school was completed in nearly two years, Arık said the school was built in memory of her parents, who after leaving their small village in Paphos, worked hard raising good children without the chance of a primary school education.

In his speech at the ceremony, Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu for his part thanked the Sanverler Family, reminding that this was the second school the family had built and donated to the education ministry.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel for his part thanked the family for their contribution and said that the Turkish Cypriot people have come to these days through solidarity and sharing.

“The Turkish Cypriot people are aware of how valuable education is,” said Üstel, adding that he had seen this spirit of solidarity among business people.

President Ersin Tatar, on the other hand, stated that as the country continues to develop, the number of students continue to increase and therefore emphasized the importance of investments being made to the education sector.

“The investments of private enterprises and foundations entrusted to us by our ancestors are always beneficial for the education sector and our country. I believe that this gift, which belongs to the same family who built the Atleks Sanverler Secondary School, will be very beneficial.”

Tatar said that such an investment is an indication of how much everyone supports the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Esin-Leman High School, located in the Kızılbaş region of Lefkoşa, will provide education to students with an indoor area of ​​2,400 square meters.

It has 20 classrooms, 4 laboratories and an open athletics field, a teacher’s room and a cafeteria covering an area of ​​8,500 square meters.
