A photograph exhibition titled “Our leaders” organised by the Doruk Foundation to mark the anniversaries of the late Turkish Cypriot leader Dr Fazıl Küçük and late founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş was opened on Tuesday night by President Ersin Tatar.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, Tatar reminded of the struggle for independence waged by the late Turkish Cypriot leader and the founding president.

Describing Dr Fazıl Küçük as the Turkish Cypriot peoples’ ‘leader for independence’, President Tatar said that the late Turkish Cypriot leader with his courage and Turkey’s support provided hope for Turkish Cypriots.

He added that the late founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş had continued the struggle waged by Dr Küçük finally establishing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The exhibition at the Doruk Foundation building is open every day, except for Sundays between 2pm and 6pm.
