Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has accepted the resignation of Finance Minister Sunat Atun.

Prime Minister Üstel appointed the National Unity Party Lefkoşa MP Alişan Şan as the new finance minister.

Explaining that Finance Minister Sunat Atun presented his resignation at 10am on Tuesday, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said “we thanked him for his work. He is a member of our party and will continue to serve as a member of our party.”

Stressing that all work being carried out was for the country, Üstel said “we are acting upon the benefit of our country. We will overcome the problems through unity and solidarity.”
