The Minister of Finance Alişan Şan has paid a visit to the Society of Martyrs’ Families and Disabled War Veterans.

Speaking during the visit Şan said, “If we are living with our heads held high, in security and peace, we owe this to our martyrs”.

The Minister of Finance Alişan Şan is paying visits to war veterans’ societies and associations in line with events marking December 21-25 National Struggle and Martyrs’ Week.

Within this framework, the finance minister, who first visited the Society of Martyrs’ Families and Disabled War Veterans, stated that he was very touched every time he visited the association.

“We are where words fail. I feel as though I have come to a temple and I have a hard time finding words to speak. I only hope that this pain will never be experienced again. I hope no children will die; no children will be left orphaned again. I hope our people are not forced to wait for their loved ones,” said Şan.

“It is our greatest duty to protect our homeland that has been entrusted to us and our state, which is the guarantee of our independence, sovereignty and freedom” said Finance Minister Şan.
