President Ersin Tatar said that trust in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was increasing day by day and that international organizations wanted to invest in the country.

The President made the statement during the Financial Technologies Summit.

President Ersin Tatar, Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, UBP Deputy Resmiye Canaltay and investors from Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) attended the Financial Technologies Summit.

The importance of investing in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was emphasized during the summit.

Speaking first at the summit, Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu thanked President Ersin Tatar for the interest he has shown in the event.

Pointing to the importance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus state, Ambassador Feyzioğlu said that those who have other thoughts apart from protecting the state should stop dreaming.

Emphasizing that the time has come for the TRNC to be recognized, Feyzioğlu reminded of the call made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the UN General Assembly.

Underlining that the strong association between Türkiye and the TRNC is getting stronger day the day, Feyzioğlu said that there was an unbreakable brotherhood between the two countries.

Referring to the energy problems on the island and their need to be solved, Feyzioğlu underlined that the best solution for this was to bring electricity from Türkiye to the TRNC and also to develop solar energy centres.

President Ersin Tatar for his part thanked the entrepreneurs.

He said that due to their efforts they were able to attract international investors to the country.

He also thanked Türkiye for its support.

President Tatar said that investors planning to invest in a small country like the TRNC when there are larger markets is the best example of belonging and staking a claim in the country.

Noting that 2 international companies are about to make 4G-5G investments in the TRNC, Tatar noted that this was an important development.

Explaining that he has always defended the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and will continue to do so, Tatar said that the TRNC will realize its dreams step by step as they have the ability and commitment to realize their dreams.
