The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be going to the polls on

Sunday, January 23^rd, 2022.

The decision to hold early general elections was accepted at the General Assembly of the Parliament.

The “Decision Proposal Regarding the Renewal of the Elections for the Republic’s Assembly” was approved unanimously by the parliament.

After the decision is delivered to the Supreme Election Board, it will be published in the Official Gazzette.

Meanwhile, the early election calendar and election ban came into effect as of today.
