Turkish Cypriot Literature Historian, researcher and writer Harid Fedai was commemorated on his 5th anniversary of his passing.

A commemorative event organised under the auspices of the Presidency, was held Turkish Cypriot Literature Historian, Researcher and Writer Harid Fedai at the Atatürk Cultural Centre in the capital Lefkoşa.

Delivering a short speech at the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar stated that Harid Fedai was one of the important names in Turkish Cypriot literature and added that Fedai’s works on literature and writing are still alive today.

“While we continue to exist on these lands, we must continue to work in order to carry our traditions, history and culture to the future generations and to make them permanent. I feel honoured to have known Harid Fedai” said Tatar.
