Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu also responded to questions during the meetings on what the Turkish Cypriot side’s two-state solution policy entails, what is meant by sovereign equality and equal international status, the latest cooperation proposals made by President Ersin Tatar to the Greek Cypriot side in the context of confidence building measures and the equitable sharing proposals of the Turkish Cypriot side on natural gas, which are still on the agenda.
In addition, Hasipoğlu, who made statements regarding the fenced-off city of Maraş, provided information about the legal framework of the decision to open various sections of the town and how the move has contributed to the TRNC’s economy and tourism.
