The chairman of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, MP Ahmet Savaşan stated that in the fight against Covid-19 the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has achieved a great success compared to many other countries, proving that it is a reliable tourism destination.

The Chairman of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, MP Ahmet Savaşan attended the Antalya Tourism Fair.

The fair brought together 300 participating tourism brands and 2,000 invited travel agencies from 20 countries this year.

According to a statement issued by the council, Savaşan met with members of the press at the fair and stated that medical tourism will grow after the pandemic, and expressed his belief that there will be an increase in demand for holidays that protect and improve one’s health.

He said that North Cyprus is working towards claiming a share of this tourism potential.

Stating that the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu works in harmony with the sector and provides significant support for the development of existing tourism areas and alternative tourism types, especially health, Savaşan said, “In the fight against Covid-19, we have been helping many countries. We proved that we are a healthy and reliable tourism destination”.

Savaşan pointed out that their aim is to increase the rate of tourists visiting the country and increase the domestic added value in the country.
