Infrastructure works in Maraş

Infrastructure works taking place in the pilot area that has been determined in the closed city of Maraş are continuing.

The Gazimağusa municipality said that electricity, drainage and road works have been completed all the way from the Polat Paşa Boulevard to the end of Ermu Avenue.

Following the handing over of the pilot area to civil authority with a decision announced by the council of ministers in July 2021, rejuvenation work is continuing in the area.

Speaking to the TAK News Agency Gazimağusa Mayor İsmail Arter gave information regarding the work taking place on the road that leads from the Polat Paşa Boulevard to the Bilal Ağa Mescit.

Noting that the area between Polat Paşa Boulavard and Ermu Street was closed to the public as infrastructure work is being carried out by the municipality Arter said that they aim to open the area once work has been completed.
