Interior Minister Kutlu Evren held a series of contacts in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
Evren and his accompanying delegation of bureaucrats were received by Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and Turkish Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gül separately.
During his visit with the Turkish Interior Minister, he was briefed on the work carried out by the Security and Emergency Situation Coordination Centre of Turkey (GAMER).
During his visit with the Turkish Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül, Minister Evren said that the Interior Ministry is working at a very busy pace and that there are people from over 130 different countries living in the TRNC.
He said that transactions were taking place within a growing and developing TRNC and therefore they wanted to benefit from the experiences of the Republic of Turkey.
Evaluating his contacts with both Süleyman Soylu and Abdulhamit Gül to the BRT news room, Evren said that during his meeting with Soylu they discussed issues that concerned both of their ministries and new projects that will take place.
He said that during his meeting with Gül they mainly discussed issues concerning the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
“We also evaluated the current situation of the new prison which has yet to come into service,” said Evren.
