Interior Minister Kutlu Evren is in the Turkish capital Ankara for a series of contacts.
Evren and his accompanying delegation of bureaucrats were received by Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.
Soylu briefed Evren on the work carried out by the Security and Emergency Situation Coordination Centre of Turkey (GAMER).
The Interior Ministry Undersecretaries Emre Hacı and Gürkan Kara, the Chief of Police Ahmet Soyalan and the TRNC’s Ambassador to Ankara Kemal Köprülü were present during the meeting.
The Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Muhterem İnce, the Commander of the Turkish Coast Guard Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir, the head of police Mehmet Aktaş, the Director General of Migration Management Dr Savaş Ünlü and the Director of the Department of EU and Foreign Relations at the Turkish Interior Ministry Sezer Işıktaş were also present at the meeting.
Minister Evren will be meeting with the Turkish Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gül this afternoon.
