Less than a month remains for the local elections to be realised in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
The calendar of the Supreme Election Board for the local elections that will take place on December 25 is continuing and the election bans which began on the 16th of November are still continuing.
As only a few weeks remain for the local elections to take place in the TRNC, the election calendar announced by the Supreme Election Board is continuing.
The Supreme Election Board announced that objections to the ballot voter lists for the general elections have ended and the lists will be announced in the Official Gazette today.
Applications for candidacy for the local elections will be made today and candidates will be announced on Tuesday, November 29 as provisional.
On November 29, district election boards will temporarily announce the candidates to appear in their own districts.
The final approved list of candidates will be announced on Sunday, December 4.
The propaganda process for all candidates contesting in the election will begin on Monday, December 5.
According to the calendar, the last day for the publication of polls and research on the elections is December 10.
The last day of distribution of voter cards and information leaflets is 22 December.
The last day of election propaganda is December 24.
Voters will go to the polls on Sunday, December 25.
