The Martyr Cengiz Topel Mediterranean Storm military exercise kicked off on Monday.

The joint military exercise which will be carried out by Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will continue until Friday, September 24.

According to a statement released by the Cyprus Turkish Security Forces Command, the Special Task Unit and Army Aviation Unit of the Cyprus Turkish Security Forces Command and the Naval Forces Command, Air Forces Command, Army Aviation Command as well Commando Regimental Command of the Turkish Peace Forces in Cyprus will take part in the exercise.

Every year the Martyr Captain Cengiz Topel Mediterranean Storm Exercise is carried out between the Turkish Peace Forces in Cyprus Command and the Cyprus Turkish Security Forces Command in order to develop cooperation and reciprocal training.
