Mehmetçik Grape Festival

The 60th Mehmetçik Grape Festival organized by the Mehmetçik Municipality kick starts today.

During the 5-day festival, concerts will be given, folk dance performances will take place and grapes and grape products will be on sale.

The Mehmetçik Grape Festival, which is one of the oldest festivals in the country, aims to promote grapes and grape products as well as promote the region’s economic development.

The festival will host Türkiye’s leading singers as well as local singers.

The festival will start with a cortege from the Mehmetçik village entrance at 8pm and this will be followed by international folk dance performances.

On the 4th of August 13 local artists will take part in a Barış Manço and Cem Karaca night.

On Friday, 5th of August at 8.30pm a Cyprus Night and Retro Musicians concert organized by the Mehmetçik Culture and Solidarity Association will take place.

On the 6th of August Suavi will perform and on the 7th of August on the final night of the festival Edip Akbayram will perform.

In addition to concerts and shows, various entertainment events will be held throughout the festival.

Stands will be set up where grapes and grape products will be available for purchase.
