Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy said that the projects carried out with the Republic of Türkiye are the guarantee of the future of the Turkish Cypriot people.

“No one will be able to lead us astray from our path,” said Taçoy.

Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy evaluated the recent visit of Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Taçoy pointed to the importance of the projects and grant programs announced for the TRNC, emphasizing that the efforts to carry the Turkish Cypriot people to the future will continue to increase.

Noting that economic developments will contribute greatly to the political recognition of the TRNC, Minister Taçoy said, “We will not be content with just political expectations. We will also take every step necessary for the development of our economy”.

He argued that a strong economy will eventually be followed by political recognition.

Pointing out that the projects that will further strengthen the economy are being implemented one by one, Taçoy described the projects opened in the fields of informatics, infrastructure, agriculture and transportation as a beginning not an end.

Taçoy also declared his support to the words of the Turkish vice president regarding the TRNC Presidential complex, Assembly building and the National Park projects.

He said that he agreed that the complex will be the embodiment of the Turkish Cypriot side’s two-state policy and sovereign equality.
