Restoration work at the Museum of Barbarism has been completed and the museum is now reopening.
The Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy will be taking part in the reopening ceremony.
The Museum of Barbarism is reopening after the restoration work carried out by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has been completed.
The opening ceremony of the Museum of Barbarism Restoration, Landscaping and Merchandising Project will take place on Wednesday, August 17 at 11:00am.
The Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy will also take part in the opening.
Meanwhile on Wednesday August 17, a documentary titled “Gol Atan Cepheye” that details the stories of resistance and struggles waged by Turkish Cypriots through football clubs between the years 1955-1974 will also be screened.
The documentary was made possible through the contribution of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy will attend the screening event that will take place at the Near East University’s Atatürk Culture and Congress Centre.
