New dust episode from Africa is to subside tomorrow
Date Added: 18 April 2022

A new dust episode from northern Africa is plaguing the island. The dust is expected to subside as of Tuesday as temperatures remain a few degrees above the seasonal average.

The public and particularly any vulnerable groups of population (children, older people and the infirm) are urged to avoid circulating in open spaces until the observed episode has elapsed, as the small size of respirable particles in dust may have negative effects on human health.

Winds will be northerly and westerly moderate becoming strong at times.
