The Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu has announced that they will be sharing the details of the new economic package prepared by the government on Thursday.

Amcaoğlu said that the package would be revealed at a press conference to be held at the Blue Hall in parliament.

Speaking on BRT on Wednesday morning, the Economy and Energy Minister Olgun Amcaoğlu said that final touches on the new economic package to be announced by the government were being made at the Central Bank.

He said the details would be made public on Thursday.

Regarding the arrival of two power generators from Türkiye, Amcaoğlu said that once the generators are installed, problems experienced with supply will be reduced significantly.

He added that the government was also drafting the Energy Department law and would be passed onto parliament in the coming weeks.

Also touching upon the strike to be staged by petrol stations, Minister Amcaoğlu said,” We’ve met with both the petrol station owners and the supplying companies. We departed from the meeting with a common understanding. Such a strike will not take place.”
