Efforts to prepare a new economic support package to help businesses in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus got underway this week following instructions given by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
The package was discussed during a meeting held at the Central Bank.
Speaking on the issue, the Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu said that another meeting would be held on Friday to resume discussions after Finance Minister Sunat Atun returns from Ankara.
He said details will be shared with the public in the coming days.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy, the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Dursun Oğuz, the Governor of the Central Bank Rifat Günay and other bureaucrats.
