New minimum wage: gross ₺4,970, net ₺4,334

The new minimum wage in the TRNC has been set at ₺4,970 gross and net ₺4,334.

The Minimum Wage Commission which convened on Wednesday for the 4th time reached an agreement to increase the minimum wage by 12.95 per cent.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security; the hourly wage was set at ₺28.67, the daily wage at ₺229.38 and the weekly wage is set at ₺1,146.92.

The new minimum wage will come into force as of September 1, 2021.
