The new minimum wage has been set at ₺8,600.
The new salary was announced by the Minimum Wage Commission chaired by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy.
This is the second minimum wage set this year.
Despite the walking out of workers’ representatives from the meeting, the new minimum salary businesses and workplaces have to pay their employees is ₺9,885 gross and ₺8,600 net.
The previous minimum wage rate determined in January was ₺40.38 per hour, ₺323, 07 per day, ₺1.615, 38 per week and ₺7000 (gross) per week.
