New minimum wage set at 9,885 TL gross

The new minimum wage has been set at a gross of 9,885 Turkish Lira (TL).

Employees working on the minimum wage will be receiving a net of 8,600 TL following deductions.

The new rate was approved by the Minimum Wage Commission which reconvened on Wednesday to discuss objections filed against the minimum wage which was approved at the last meeting held on the 7th of July.

While the new wage was approved by a majority of votes, representatives of employers, as in the previous meeting, rejected the new figure.

The new minimum wage will be valid as of July 1, 2022.
