The Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre is in the Turkish capital Ankara for a series of contacts.

Embarking on his contacts in Ankara on Wednesday, Töre met with his Turkish counterpart Mustafa Şentop.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre’s first meeting in the Turkish capital, Ankara was with the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop.

The TRNC Ambassador to Ankara İsmet Korukoğlu also accompanied Töre during the visit.

Further development of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries was taken up and views on current issues were exchanged during the meeting.

The parliamentary speaker will return to the republic on Friday evening after completing his contacts in Ankara and Konya.
