Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu on Thursday joined those condemning Turkish journalist Ayşenur Arslan who made unacceptable remarks against the Turkish Resistance Organisation (TMT).
He said that the views expressed by Arslan had deeply hurt the Turkish Cypriot people.
Condemning the remarks, Sucuoğlu said that the Turkish Cypriot people will continue to exist in Cyprus with the spirit of resistance inherited from the TMT and the support of motherland Turkiye.
The Prime Minister reminded that the National Unity Party was the political extension of the TMT and that the foundations of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) had been laid with the sacrifices made by the martyrs and the spirit of resistance put up by the organisation.
