Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu on Thursday evaluated the 2022 Financial and Economic Protocol signed between Turkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the BRT.
He said that the main goal was to create an economy that will allow a self-sustainable Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus that can support itself.
Explaining that they had also reached a consensus that reforms must take place in order to increase revenues and decrease expenditures in terms of public finances and the implementation of laws, Sucuoğlu said that the Council of Ministers will be carrying out work on legislative issues in the coming days.
Noting that the action plan that they had prepared summed under four categories, these being public administration and public finance policies, economic and financial policies, social policies, justice, security and defence policies; Sucuoğlu emphasized that motherland Turkiye also wants a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus that can support itself.
