Finance Minister Sunat Atun will be holding contacts in Ankara, Turkiye regarding the economic program, financial support and development of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Evaluating Atun’s visit to Ankara, Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu said work on the “Economic Protocol” which is vital for the TRNC during this period was at its final stage.

Noting that the Finance Minister Atun will be visiting Ankara within this context, Sucuoğlu said that he will then come together with the Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay to finalize and sign the protocol.

He also stressed that they were always in close contact with the Turkish officials.

“Our aim is to finalise and implement the protocol in the shortest time possible. On behalf of our country and people, I thank Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay who is in charge of Cyprus affairs for their ongoing support” the Premier added.
