President Ersin Tatar attended the “31st of December International solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis” event and New Year’s celebration.
Speaking during the event organized jointly by the Azerbaijan State Diaspora Fund and the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society; President Tatar congratulated Azerbaijanis by stating that he was happy to participate in such a beautiful event.
“We, as the sons of a great nation, are ofcourse one nation, three states. Our flags are a torch and expression of our independence, our power and the freedom of Turks all over the world. Congratulations to all our Azerbaijani brothers. Your victory in Karabakh was also our victory” said Tatar during his speech.
Emphasizing that the Turkish Cypriots suffered a lot on these lands, President Tatar said that they did not give up during this process and fully trusted Motherland Turkey.
Underlining the fact that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is a state and representative of the Turkish nation in the Eastern Mediterranean, Tatar conveyed his greetings to all Azerbaijani people.
Also congratulating the the President of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev’s birthday, President Tatar expressed the belief that President Aliyev will have a message for the TRNC in the near future.
“I know that our Azerbaijani brothers are deeply devoted to us. Wherever I meet with our Azerbaijani brothers in the world, I see that their hearts are with us and our hearts are with them. I hope that the cultural, economic and social ties between us will develop and will be crowned in the political sense,” said Tatar.
