President Ersin Tatar drew attention to the economic effects of the Ukraine-Russia war while he received the head of the Gaziantep Press Associaiton Arif Kurt and his accompanying delegation.

He expressed the hope that once the new balance has emerged in the region, Turkiye, as a regional power, will show its ability to steer issues in the right direction.

“Hopefully the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be able to build a future by embracing its new position depending on the developments that take place in the Eastern Mediterranean” said Tatar.

The President also emphasized the importance of direct flights from Gaziantep, noting that mutual relations with Gaziantep have improved in all areas.

The head of the Association Arif Kurt for his part said that they had come to the TRNC in order to discuss investment opportunities in the country.
