President Ersin Tatar flew to the Turkish capital Ankara this morning.

He addressed students and academics at a conference on the Turkish Cypriots’ struggle for existence that was organised by the Ankara Social Sciences University’s Regional Studies Institute.

President Tatar is also expected to attend the Eurasian Service Awards, which is being held by the Eurasian Economic Relations Association at the Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum later on tonight.
