President Ersin Tatar said on Thursday that success was achieved in the health sector during the pandemic.
Speaking during a visit paid to him by the President of Cyprus Turkish Paramedics Association Adem İlkhan and his accompanying delegation, Tatar expressed his satisfaction over the positive developments in the TRNC health system.
Stressing that health was more important than anything; he noted that this was understood better during the pandemic process.
Stating that the TRNC managed the pandemic process well, President Tatar said “the building and opening of the Emergency Hospital with the support of Turkey and the supply of enough vaccines showed how systematic the health system is working.”
“The efforts of personnel working at the state hospitals, private hospitals and laboratories deserve admiration. We have fully equipped hospitals where not only our citizens but also people who came from foreign countries can get treated” said Tatar.
He also added that he is closely following the work being carried out that would encourage young people who choose to become a paramedic as a profession.
“A country can be strong when youngsters who will choose various occupational groups are trained based on the developments taking place in the world. It is important to explain and promote the paramedic occupation. In this regard, I congratulate the people in this sector and wish you success in the work you will be carrying out” said Tatar.
