President Ersin Tatar on Monday highlighted the importance of investments in the country for the welfare and prosperity of the Turkish Cypriot people.

Tatar, speaking during a visit paid to him by a delegation from the TRNC Communal Solidarity and Assistance Society (SODAY) headed by Nafi Ölmez, praised the society’s efforts to provide aid and charity to those in need.

“I support the efforts of your organisation. All this work done in charity gives one an incredible sense of happiness. To provide one with what he or she might need gives an indescribable feeling,” he said.

Tatar reminded that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus had been created through great sacrifices with the support of Turkey.

“We all know our successes,” he added.
