President Ersin Tatar received the Near East University’s research team headed by Professor Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ.
During the visit President Tatar said that the scientific studies carried out are a beacon of hope for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Turkish Cypriot people.

Tatar was presented with the research report on epidemic diseases that was a success at the Turkish Microbiology Congress held in Antalya, Türkiye.
Speaking during the visit President Ersin Tatar said that he would examine the report and pointed to the importance of the success achieved at the Turkish Microbiology Congress.
Noting that scientific studies were a guide in the working groups established during the pandemic process, Tatar stated that the Covid-19 process was managed in the best possible way thanks to some scientific-based predictions.
Praising the Near East University for its contributions to the country’s economy and social structure, Tatar said “despite the unfair embargoes, these studies are of great importance both scientifically and for the promotion of the country”.
