President Ersin Tatar attended a program on BRT via Skype as he has tested positive for Covid-19 and is isolating himself at home.

Evaluating the issues on the agenda during the program, President Tatar said his health condition will not affect the process of forming a government.

Stating that he will be appointing the National Unity Party Leader Faiz Sucuoğlu to form the new government, Tatar expressed the hope that a government which will meet the people’s expectations will be formed as soon as possible.

Expressing the need for political parties to reach an agreement as quickly as possible, he pointed to the importance of taking steps towards tackling the pandemic and economic problems.

He also said that it would not be right for him to comment on what kind of government should be formed.

Commenting on the economic issues, President Tatar expressed the need for carrying out preparatory work for the 2022 Financial Economic Protocol to be signed with Turkiye.

“Every problem can be solved through logic. We should take financial, social and economic measures through discussions with everyone and social consensus” he added.
