President Tatar discussed latest developments with academics

President Ersin Tatar came together with academics at the Presidential Palace on Monday.

The call made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the official recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) at the United Nations General Assembly and current developments were evaluated during the meeting.

According to a statement released by the President’s Office, President Ersin Tatar met with a group of academics at the Presidential Palace.

The historic call made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the official recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York and current developments were evaluated during the meeting.

Contributions the academics could make to the process were also discussed at the meeting.

Academics from the 15 Kasım University, the Bahçeşehir University, the Near East University, the Ankara Social Sciences University TRNC Campus, the Girne American University, the Final University and the European University of Lefke attended the meeting held under the coordination of the Special Adviser to the President on International Relations and Diplomacy Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal.
