President Ersin Tatar has received the newly elected National Unity Party (UBP) leader Faiz Sucuoğlu.

During the meeting held at the Presidential Palace on Monday, President Tatar gave UBP leader Sucuoğlu the task to form a new government.

Speaking during the visit, President Tatar expressed the hope that a new government will be formed as soon as possible in order to overcome the economic problems being experienced in the country.

Wishing Sucuoğlu success, Tatar also praised the UBP for carrying out a democratic process.

Sucuoğlu for his part thanked the President for tasking him with this duty and said that he will be working straight away to form the government.

According to the law, Sucuoğlu has 15 days to form the new government otherwise he will have to hand back the mandate.
