President Ersin Tatar received the Chairman and members of the Organization of Turan States.

Speaking during the visit, President Tatar said that all efforts were being made to maintain the existence of the TRNC and the Turkish Cypriot people.

President Ersin Tatar stated that the struggle for survival of the Turkish Cypriot people still continues today and emphasized the importance of the presence of Turkish soldiers on the island as well as the continuation of the guarantees of the Republic of Türkiye.

Noting that according to the new policy a settlement could be reached on the basis of cooperation of two sovereign equal states, President Tatar said “Every effort is being made to ensure the existence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the Turkish Cypriot people and the acceptance of this fact. The Republic of Türkiye is always with us.”

Tatar also said that it was important to continue relations with the Turkic world, to strengthen the bond between Turkish Cypriots and Turks living in different parts of the world, especially the Organization of Turkic States.

He added that the TRNC state is a success story of the last 50 years.
