A cancer awareness event was held at Bayrak Radio Television Corporation on Tuesday in collaboration with the Help Those with Cancer Association.

March has been declared as “(Light) Blue Month” by the Help Those with Cancer Association as part of the Dress in Blue Day to draw attention to and raise awareness on prostate cancer.

Treadmills were placed in front of the corporation building as employees took turns to run as part of the awareness raising campaign.

Male employees were also offered free blood tests for prostate cancer.

The event was attended by BRT Director Meryem Özkürt, the head of BRT Employees’ Trade Union-BAYSEN Ibrahim Kanat and National Unity Party (UBP) Girne MP Hasan Küçük.
