As part of the second phase of the re-opening of the closed city of Maraş, the Gazimağusa Municipality has started work in the area.

In line with previous decisions, the Municipality removed the wired fences and barrels in order to open up a new area of the town.

While no official statement has been made on the subject, it is believed that a new entry point is to be opened in the region and that work is being carried out towards this direction.
