Silent vigil in London

The Young Turkish Cypriots, the British Turkish Cypriot’s Association (BTCA) and Embargoed! announced that they will carry out a silent vigil to remember those who were martyred during the bloody Christmas attacks carried out by Greek Cypriots in December 1963 in Cyprus.

The vigil will take place in front of the South Cyprus Embassy in London.

In a joint statement released by the Young Turkish Cypriots, the British Turkish Cypriots Association and Embargoed! it was stated that they will be holding a silent vigil in front of the South Cyprus Embassy in London on the 21st of December between 6pm and 8pm.

The aim of the silent vigil is to commemorate those who were martyred as a result of the Bloody Christmas attacks carried out by the Greek Cypriots in December 1963.

The joint statement also called on the Greek Cypriot Administration to tell the world the truth about the Cyprus problem, accept the suffering of the Turkish Cypriot people and apologize, bring to justice those who committed crimes against humanity and end all inhumane isolations against Turkish Cypriots.
