İskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu received Uçhisar Mayor Osman Süslü from Turkiye on Monday.

During the meeting the two mayors agreed to sign a sister municipality protocol with the aim of further strengthening ties and developing cooperation between the two municipalities.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, İskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu said that he was pleased that the sister protocol was made official and touched upon the importance of strengthening relations between the two municipalities both socially and culturally.

Uçhisar Mayor Osman Süslü for his part said that they attached great importance to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) adding that there were strong bonds between the two countries dating back to history.
