Supreme Election Board announces propaganda period has begun

Propaganda period for the local elections begins today.

Until December 24 candidates are able to have on display posters and distribute flyers and booklets that contain their election propaganda.

The Supreme Election Board has announced that the propaganda period for December 25 local elections have begun.

As of today, candidates are able to have on display wall posters and distribute flyers and booklets containing their election propaganda.

They are allowed to continue with their election propaganda until 6pm on December 24.

It also warned that after 6pm on the day before voting day, it is also prohibited to distribute or to have on display any kind of propaganda material.

The board also reminded that samples of ballot papers can be distributed, but it is forbidden to have the Turkish Flag, TRNC Flag, religious inscriptions, Arabic letters and writings of any kind on campaign material, banners or posters.
