President Ersin Tatar is in the Turkish city of Gaziantep for a series of contacts.

As part of his two-day visit, Tatar will meet with the Mayor of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and head of the Turkish Municipalities Union Fatma Şahin.

He will also be receiving an honorary doctorate from the Gaziantep Hasan Kalyoncu University.

During his stay in Gaziantep, Tatar will also be visiting the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce and event to mark the anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic.

He is expected to give interviews to various media organisations and meet with war veterans who served in the 1974 Turkish Peace Operation.

President Tatar will be returning to the TRNC on Thursday evening.
