President Ersin Tatar is in New York upon the invitation of the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for contacts on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Tatar will be holding a bilateral meeting with Guterres and will also be meeting with several officials as part of his contacts in New York.

During his contacts, Tatar will once again emphasize the ‘two state solution model.’

The President will then attend the opening ceremony of the ‘Türkevi’ or Turkish House which will be inaugurated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The TRNC’s New York Representation Office will also be located in the Türkevi building.

Tatar is expected to return to the TRNC on September 28 after completing his contacts.
